Managing Director/CEO

David J. Baker, the Founder and CEO of Human Capital Advisors, has almost 30 years of corporate and executive entrepreneurial leadership and business experience spanning multiple industries and functions. He is particularly adept at linking human capital strategy and operations with organizational goals and objectives. His first book, The Everything HR Kit, was published in August 2010 by the American Management Association.

Prior to forming and launching Human Capital Advisors, Dave established and led the Human Capital Solutions practice for Adams Capital Management, one of the largest venture capital firms in the country. He was accountable for all executive, management and professional assessment, coaching, recruitment and talent programs in the U.S.  He served as the internal HR consultant to the entire portfolio of companies.  Services comprised implementing a broad range of HR initiatives including: executive coaching, recruitment and selection, compensation, benefits, training, workforce development, and leadership and organization development. Prior to Adams Capital, Dave was the Director of Human Resources for ADC Telecommunications in Minneapolis. Earlier in his career, he was the first human resources executive for WQED Communications, home of Mister Rogers, the National Geographic Specials, Project Literacy, The Infinite Voyage, and numerous other national productions.  Dave started his career with the Swiss Aerospace company, Contraves Goerz where he was the HR Manager for their Charlotte, NC operations.

Dave holds an MA in Human Resource Management from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA and a BA in Psychology and Industrial Relations from Saint Vincent College.  Dave has served on the Board of Directors for McGuire Home, the Pittsburgh Human Resource Association the Marcellus Resource Group and the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association and other organizations focused on advancing the field of human resource management.

He is a frequent speaker on current human capital best practices including effective executive coaching in a dynamic market, metrics and analytics, compliance and litigation, human capital technology, and the impact of changing workforce demographics.

In 2003, Dave was awarded Lifetime Distinction as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society of Human Resource Management in Alexandria, Virginia, which recognizes extraordinary leadership within the human resources profession.

Lynn PattersonLynn B. Patterson
Account Executive

Lynn Patterson has twenty-five plus years of start-up organizational, operational and process development experience which she brings to Human Capital Advisors. Lynn’s responsibilities include: conducting Human Resource audits, creation of employee databases, benefit plan administration, 401(k) administration, and process development and execution. Lynn holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University.

Prior to HCA Lynn was with Pepperweed Consulting where she was responsible for development and execution of many of the human resources processes and procedures. Lynn was with Adams Capital Management from its inception, having responsibility for the coordination and management of their information technology resources along with the opening and managing of multiple offices nationwide.

Angie Fozard
Senior Executive Recruiter 

Angie Fozard brings over fifteen years of Executive Recruitment, Talent Assessment, Sales and Marketing experience to Human Capital Advisors. Angie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton. A proven self-starter and entrepreneur, Angie is especially skilled at improving organizational productivity through partnership strategies resulting in effectively building long term relationships.

Prior to Human Capital Advisors, Angie held senior level management positions such as Director of Strategic Alliances for Corporate Information Systems (CISCORP, based in Western Pennsylvania) and Manager of Contract Services for Carlisle Systems Group. Angie built new consulting service divisions from the ground up; developing marketing, business and organizational plans to effectively meet profit and growth objectives; with a strong emphasis on recruiting and networking to meet project and corporate level hiring needs.

Mary Del RossaMary Anna Del Rossa
Human Resource Professional

Mary Anna holds a BS in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University, and has completed coursework toward an MS in Organizational Development from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has twenty years of corporate business and Human Resources experience, across multiple industries with various clienteles. An expert in human resource management, Mary Anna has driven Human Resources in start-up divisions, operations, staffing and selection.

Mary Anna led and oversaw staffing and selection process in North America for Development Dimensions International. She developed strategies and executed processes that included interfacing with senior level business units. Mary Anna oversaw employee relations, orientation programs, relocation, benefit training, and performance management.
